I can still remember the phone call I got from my mother .I was sleeping and phones were turn off and I herd loud knock at the door it was my father in-law , he told my husband I think you should Take this call as she told him he fell down in grief as he handed me the phone ,"She Said Heather JPs passed away" . My heart broke that day.
I found out JP'S cause of death was a common tragedy, I decided I was going change that by educating , bring awareness,and sharing his story with others. I was going to bring Hope out this tragedy and my faith was going to help me . I searched the internet and found a website called HARMD (Helping America Reduce Methadone deaths) with people that had loved ones who died from the same drug. I Joined and became active in their organization . I became a board member about year later .Thank you Melissa for all you do .
I crossed a story of a young man named Kyle Hall who died of OxyContin. I put him on JPs website and started to realize that methadone was not the only prescription drug that was causing deaths . I wanted to get the word out by billboard so I made some calls and lady called me back after she introduced her self, she began to tell me that her son died from a OxyContin over dose, It was the same young man I added to my website it was faith that God brought us together and I knew I could trust her with this project .Thank you Mrs. Hall.MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
I want people to remember my brother . Remember how much he loved poker. Remember that he was a Gator fan, Bucs fan , Lighting fan Remember that he loved is dog cat fish or to him his child . Remember he do any thing for you ,but he tell you how he felt weather you liked or not . Remember he was loyal to his friends and family. Remember That Methadone took a friend , brother, son ,nephew, and wonderful person. Remember, Remember ,I will fight for my brother and others that methadone has taken .
